History and Mission:
A Convergence of People, Industries, and Ideas
The Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Conference (EVC) is a
student-run conference coordinated by the Entrepreneurship,
Venture Capital, and Private Equity student group and the Polsky
Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago
Graduate School of Business.
The purpose of the EVC is to bring together successful
entrepreneurs and seasoned venture capitalists to share ideas
and advice, foster creativity, and encourage the entrepreneurially
minded Chicago GSB student in a day-long conference setting.
Since the inaugural conference in November of 1999, leading
business persons from various industries in the US have
converged for the conference, including professionals in
information technology, nanotechnology, life sciences, retail,
and venture capital.
Format:
Keynote speakers, multiple panel discussions, and break-out sessions featuring leading professionals and academics in the fields of entrepreneurship and venture capital.
